July 2014 Stamp of The Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring July 2014's SOTM, which is Circus Alphabet, a set of 68.  If you have come here from Michelle John's blog, you are on the right path! This month we have over forty Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I have a gathering later this month and of course the hostess and I want to highlight the adorable Circus Alphabet!  We chose Jubilee paper for the project; this group likes to make scrapbook pages.  I browsed through Make it From Your Heart 1 to find a design (Layout 13), and then gathered all of the other stamps and/or embellishments I thought I could use.

For the project, the supplies I used are: Jubilee paper (X7181B); Jubilee textiles (Z1971); Big Top stamp set (C1580); Watercolor Pencils (3505); Honey Triangles Washi Tape (Z1931); Spray Pens (z1380); Art Philosophy, Artiste and Artbooking Cricut Cartridges; Desert Sand and Cocoa reinkers.  
The technique to the left:  Laminate a piece of cardstock (if used more than a couple of times).  Cut a stencil using an overlay from Artbooking (have the Cricut go over it twice).  Mix reinker and alcohol in the spray pen and spritz lightly over stencil placed on layout base.  Also to the left, I LOVE using pieces of chipboard to elevate pieces just a little :)  To the right: gather a 1" strip of fabric with a running stitch, attach with a glue dot, cover stitches with a button.
